More about Susan Rahman – Managing Partner at KWSR

Susan Rahman was educated both in London and Bangladesh, attending schools in Colliers Wood until she was 11 years old when she was sent abroad to an International convent in Dhaka Bangladesh, returning to take her A levels at Nonsuch Grammar School in Sutton.

After graduating from Kings College London, a Russell group university, Susan qualified as a Chartered Accountant , and worked at a senior level in medium sized businesses for the next 8 years.

During the last 16 years she has developed and run the practice KWSR, a firm her father founded in 1972, and in 2007 was admitted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants as a Fellow.

Susan is a keen supporter of charities and environments associated with care. As a school girl and student, she worked voluntarily in care homes in Sutton , Cheam and St Georges Hospital Tooting in the UK and helped abused and repressed women in Bangladesh.

In recent years Susan’s strong sense of justice and her conviction that those who are able should take care of the less able, has been channelled into her work as a Trustee of a charity, which provides health care for the poor.

One of Susan’s goals for KWSR is to combine her work with her passion for care by working with Charities, Schools, Care Homes , Not For Profits etc. to use her personal and business skills to help them maximize and leverage their resources.

Susan is also passionate about demystifying the accounting profession. Throughout her career she’s helped reduce the the strain on small and medium sized businesses by working alongside them as a business partner; understanding the entire business and giving advice in straight forward easy to understand language .

When Susan isn’t running KWSR and doing voluntary work, she spends as much time as possible with her husband and children, plays bridge, attends the gym and is Chair for the Athena business networking group in Balham and Treasurer of the Aberdour School in Tadworth.
